After life
Rain tossed upon the Earth, arose a dreaded day
A sudden crackle and then a shot; hearts had broken in dismay
Mourners gathered for a shilling or two, fake tears rolling down their eyes
The raven man mounted onto the stirrup of his stallion
Shocked in a surprise
He had sought out justice - killing the madman
But it had seemed to him
Whence the gossip jumped in and out of ears
He was condemned and subdued
A day or two passed by
And he found himself ready to say goodbye
The trees lashed at him; the wind cut him
He loomed over the ground, the rope gripping onto his skin
The world blurred for hours
And in the distance, he could see towers
He crawled to the fazed sight
Then stretched his arms to the light
Was this hell or heaven – he did not know
He knelt before his judgment
And the light did not seem like his foe
First, it threw him far
Somersaulting him in the air
And then he glinted like a star
